Sankofa 2025: Elevating Live

New Bern Civic Theatre in partnership with Cynthia M. Evans-Robinson, and the Creative Team of Sankofa 2025 – Elevating Live gladly invites you to witness the phenomenon of Sankofa during the Juneteenth Celebrations located throughout the city of New Bern. The newest edition to this original artistic piece can only be seen at New Bern Civic Theatre, 414 Pollock Street, New Bern, NC 28560, on Friday, June 20th at 7:30 pm, Saturday, June 21st at 2:00 pm and Saturday, June 21st at 7:30 pm. Evans-Robinson serves as the director of this production.

This show encompasses African heritage & culture shown through the lens of spoken word, music, dance, mime, and martial arts. In true Sankofa fashion, there are returning cast members from previous years and talented new artists making their stage debuts. So, come out and support all the talented local artists while taking in the abundance of culture and love that Sankofa provides!
